Understanding States: Archetypes & Ideologies

What is a "State" in Our AI System?

A state in our system represents a mix of a user's personality archetype and their dominant ideological leaning. These states help us personalize experiences, generate characters, and simulate behaviors with internal consistency.

Main Archetype

How they interact with the world (like a personality role)

Everyone has 1 primary archetype

Ideological Populations

What they believe in or prioritize (like a political or philosophical stance)

Can have multiple with different weights

Why It Matters

By combining a main Archetype with an ideological population, our system can:

  • Simulate emotional responses grounded in belief systems
  • Create dynamic dialogue and world events that match a character's "logic"
  • Predict how groups will evolve based on stressors or shifts

Example Combination:

A Captain + Populist combo might act decisively to protect "the people," while a Smuggler + Globalist might quietly manipulate networks to support global causes.

The 9 Archetypes

Think of these as RPG classes or personal "main characters." Everyone gets one. They describe your instincts, behaviors, and emotional lens:

Explorer

Driven by curiosity and wonder. They crave new knowledge and seek the unknown.

Voyager

Open-minded and empathetic. They thrive in unfamiliar environments and understand many sides.

Captain

Natural leaders. They take charge during crises, guided by responsibility and grit.

Merchant

Entrepreneurial and growth-focused. They love trading, competing, and climbing ladders.

Shipwright

Builders and crafters. They take pride in perfecting systems, machines, and ideas.

Fisherman

Sailor

Loyal team players. Disciplined, skilled, and reliable under pressure.

The 9 Populations (Ideologies)

These represent the core values and worldviews that influence how someone thinks about society, systems, and people. We call them "populations" because each can grow or shrink like demographics in a simulated world.

Progressive (Ventura)

Fueled by hope and excitement for change. Wants a better future, fast.

Socialist (Collective)

Believes in shared effort and shared reward. Prioritizes community and equity.

Globalist (Eventus)

Conservative (Trantum)

Nationalist (Abzimuth)
